Emails That Look Like Yours, For Every Order Status
New
- Send an email for any order status, not just the ones we picked. Every row in Commerce settings now offers a choice: a built-in email, an email you write yourself for that status, or none at all. "New" and "Making" used to say "no email" with nothing you could do about it, and so did every status you added yourself
- Write your own email for a status, in the same editor as the built-in ones, with a subject, a heading and a body — and the same preview and test-send
Improved
- Customer emails now wear your storefront's own look: your theme's colours, your page background, your brand colour on the button, and a font that matches the pairing you chose. A space that has not set a theme looks exactly as it did
- Emails follow the reader's dark mode where their mail app supports it, with your dark logo if you have uploaded one. Apps that do not support it keep showing the light version, unchanged
- The preview in Commerce settings is now the real email, rendered by the same code that sends it — your header, your colours, the order totals, the button and the footer, and your unsaved edits as you type them
- The placeholder list under each email now shows only the ones that email actually receives, and marks the ones that are not always there
- Your POS receipt now uses the same brand colours as everything else, and its "paid" badge follows your accent instead of staying green
Fixed
- The logo you upload on Website → Branding now appears in your emails. Emails were reading a different logo field than the branding page writes to, so spaces that had uploaded one kept seeing their name in text instead
- The email editor no longer shows wording we never send. It used to open pre-filled with example copy that matched nothing — and saving it shipped customers an email reading "placed on ." and "Payment: ", because two of the placeholders in that copy are never filled in. Empty now means "using the built-in wording", and a placeholder an email never receives is refused at save with an explanation
